Daily maintenance of belt conveyor

Belt conveyor is a common organic fertilizer conveying equipment, which is responsible for transporting materials to the next link in the organic fertilizer production line and plays an important role. In order to better improve the transport capacity of the belt conveyor, daily maintenance is essential, which can also improve work efficiency and prolong the service life of the belt conveyor.

The rubber belt of the belt conveyor is the most vulnerable to damage, and the damage takes various forms, such as edge delamination, ulceration, long-distance longitudinal tearing, deep scratches, and extensive wear and tear. The running speed of the rubber conveyor belt should not exceed 5.0 m/s. When transporting bulky and abrasive materials, try to use a low speed. If the speed exceeds the specified speed, it will affect the service life of the belt. Pulley slippage is usually caused by insufficient belt tension. It is advisable to adjust the belt tension by controlling the value of the load sensor pressure gauge, or that the conveyor belt does not slip on the sensing pulley. Belt deviation and abnormal wear are the main causes of shortened belt life. In daily maintenance, the deviation of the belt conveyor should be corrected in time, and abnormal wear and tear should be avoided.

During transportation and storage, the conveyor belt should be kept clean, avoid direct sunlight or rain and snow, prevent contact with acids, alkalis, oils, organic solvents and other substances, and keep it away from the heating device one meter away. Check whether the transmission motor or reducer is abnormal every day.
