The rotary drum granulation production line was delivered to Yichun City, Jiangxi Province on June 6, 2026. This is the first rotary drum granulation production line delivered by Huaqiang Heavy Industry to western Jiangxi in 2026. It will be used in the livestock and poultry manure resource utilization project of a local organic fertilizer company to produce commercial granulated organic fertilizer.
I. Project Background: Yichun’s Need for Organic Fertilizer Industry Upgrading
Yichun is a major agricultural city in Jiangxi Province, with large-scale rice, camellia, and vegetable cultivation, and intensive livestock and poultry farming. In recent years, Yichun City has continuously promoted the reduction and efficiency improvement of chemical fertilizers and green planting and breeding cycles, and the area of organic fertilizer replacing chemical fertilizers has been continuously expanding. A local organic fertilizer company originally had a powdered fertilizer production line, which had low product added value and limited transportation radius. To improve product competitiveness, the company decided to introduce Huaqiang Heavy Industry’s rotary drum granulation production line to upgrade its powdered organic fertilizer to granulated fertilizer.
II. Equipment Configuration: Complete Production Line Centered on a Rotary Drum Granulator
This rotary drum granulation production line was designed as a complete system by Huaqiang Heavy Industry, covering the entire process from post-fermentation materials to finished product packaging. Core equipment includes a semi-wet material crusher, a twin-shaft mixer, a rotary drum granulator, a dryer, a cooler, a drum screen, and an automatic packaging machine. The rotary drum granulator uses a rotating drum to agglomerate materials into pellets, achieving a pelletizing rate of 85%–90% with the aid of steam or water humidification. The pellets are round, uniform, and have high strength. Addressing the high viscosity of the mixture of cow dung, chicken manure, and straw in Yichun, Huaqiang Heavy Industry optimized the anti-sticking lining of the drum and the structure of the lifting plates, effectively reducing adhesion to the walls and clumping. The accompanying dryer uses a low-temperature, high-volume airflow process, dehydrating at 60℃–80℃ while preserving the activity of organic matter.
III. Installation, Commissioning, and Project Significance
After delivery, Huaqiang Heavy Industry’s technical team will travel to Yichun to provide on-site guidance for installation and commissioning, and conduct systematic training for the customer’s operators. After the production line goes into operation, it is expected to produce 10,000 to 30,000 tons of granulated organic fertilizer annually. This will convert local livestock and poultry manure and straw in Yichun into commercial granular fertilizer for use in rice, camellia, and vegetable cultivation. Compared to powdered fertilizer, granular fertilizer has lower transportation costs, more uniform application, and controllable nutrient release, significantly increasing product added value.
