Driven by green agriculture and the circular economy, organic fertilizer, as a key alternative to chemical fertilizers, is experiencing growing market demand annually. In modern organic fertilizer production, fertilizer granulators are key equipment, directly impacting fertilizer quality and production efficiency.
Depending on the production process, there are three main types of fertilizer granulators: disc granulators, rotary drum granulators, and double roller press. Disc granulator, with their simple structure and ease of operation, are the preferred choice for small and medium-sized organic fertilizer producers. Rotary drum granulator, with their continuous production advantages, occupy a key position in large-scale organic fertilizer production lines. Double roller press granulator, with their unique low-temperature molding process, are particularly suitable for granulating temperature-sensitive organic materials.
A complete organic fertilizer production line usually consists of four major links: pretreatment, fermentation, deep processing and packaging, and each link relies on specific mechanical fertilizer equipment to complete.
Pre-processing equipment, including grinders and mixers, is used to crush and evenly mix raw materials such as livestock and poultry manure and straw to ensure efficient subsequent fermentation. Fermentation Equipment: simple composting machines or windrow composting machines are core equipment. Regular composting promotes oxygen exchange between the raw materials and the inoculant, keeping the compost temperature above 60°C and completing the detoxification process.
Further Processing Equipment: This includes fertilizer dryers, fertilizer granulators, and fertilizer screeners. The disc granulator compresses the composted material into spherical pellets, improving the fertilizer’s marketability and slow-release properties.
