On January 11, 2026, the complete set of equipment for the Sichuan Wanyuan cow manure organic fertilizer production line was officially loaded and shipped to the project site in Wanyuan City after completing factory commissioning. This is one of the first batch of livestock and poultry manure resource utilization projects delivered at the beginning of 2026. Once completed, it will serve the manure treatment and organic fertilizer production needs of the local beef cattle breeding industry in Wanyuan.
Project Background: Wanyuan Beef Cattle Industry Drives Demand for Manure Treatment
Wanyuan is located on the southern slope of the Dabashan Mountains, and in recent years, the scale of beef cattle breeding has continued to expand. The local area has formed a breeding scale of 10,000 head of beef cattle, relying on a green circular chain of “forage planting—beef cattle breeding—manure return to the field—soil improvement” to promote ecological farming. However, cow manure has a high moisture content of 60%-70%. If it is returned to the field directly without treatment, not only will the transportation cost be high, but it will also easily cause seedling burn and non-point source pollution. Therefore, the project team decided to construct a cow manure organic fertilizer production line to convert livestock waste into commercial organic fertilizer on-site.
Equipment Configuration: A Complete Solution Adapted to the Characteristics of Wanyuan Cow Manure
This cow manure organic fertilizer production line adopts a complete set of equipment, covering the entire process from fermentation to packaging. Core equipment includes a hydraulic compost turner, a half-wet material crusher, a twin-shaft mixer, a granulator, a dryer, a cooler, a drum screen, and an automatic packaging machine. Considering the high moisture and high fiber content of Wanyuan cow manure, a hydraulic compost turner is used in the fermentation stage, with a turning depth of over 1.5 meters to ensure sufficient oxygen supply and rapid decomposition. The granulation stage uses a disc granulator, combined with the half-wet material crusher and twin-shaft mixer at the front end, to evenly mix the decomposed cow manure with straw, humic acid, and other auxiliary materials, controlling the moisture content of the feed material to 30%–35% to ensure high pelleting rate and granule strength.
Process Route: Closed-Loop Conversion from Cow Manure to Commercial Fertilizer
The core process of this production line is as follows: Cow manure is transported to the factory in sealed vehicles, where it undergoes aerobic fermentation with the addition of straw and biological agents. The manure is turned over every 1-2 days, and composting is completed in 7-10 days. The composted material is then crushed, screened, and fed into a batching system. Humic acid, bentonite, and other auxiliary materials are added according to the formula. The mixture is then stirred, granulated, dried, cooled, and screened again before being packaged as finished organic fertilizer. After the project is put into operation, it will effectively utilize the manure from local beef cattle farms in Wanyuan, reducing the amount of chemical fertilizer used and providing a high-quality organic fertilizer source for local highland potatoes, corn, and other crops.
The shipment of the Sichuan Wanyuan cow manure organic fertilizer production line on January 11, 2026, marks a substantial step forward in the resource utilization of livestock and poultry manure in the Dabashan Mountains. With the installation of the equipment, this production line will become a key link in Wanyuan’s integrated farming and breeding industrial chain.
